Admission to the MAE

           Prior to admission to the MAE, you should meet with our Certification Analyst and a faculty member in your MAE specialty area to ensure clarity regarding requirements for applications. Typically, you apply for the MAE the first semester of your senior year.    Completed applications submitted by the first of the months of September, October, November, February, March, or April will be sent to the specialty areas for action during those months. A completed application includes core admission requirements AND specialty area requirements. In addition, we have included our admission process.  Please contact the Department of Education Chair if you have any questions regarding admissions.  If you choose to appeal the decision of the specialty area, notification of the appeal must be made in writing to the Department of Education Chair.  The MAE Admissions Committee will then meet and make an independent recommendation regarding your admission.  The Committee's recommendation will be forwarded directly to the Department of Education Chair and the Graduate Dean.  Click here to see the application for the MAE Program.
