Guidelines

We highly recommend that you meet with MAE faculty while you are an undergraduate. Here are some suggestions:

1. attend the MAE meeting during Truman Week
2. attend the MAE social during Truman Week
3. take ED 100 in the spring semester of your freshman year if you are thinking about Elementary Education, Special Education or Music
4. join an MAE student organization (see Student Organizations in left column)

In addition, our certification analyst will work with you to design a plan for completing course requirements for certification in your undergraduate program. Check with the department office secretary (x4386) who will give you the certification analyst’s contact information.

Finally, make sure you let your residential advisor know that you are interested in the MAE. He/She will be glad to help you with course selection also.
